Join our team

bard0 design is an FPGA and embedded systems engineering consultancy. We work on imaging pipelines, memory interfaces, and edge AI acceleration for companies building real hardware. The team is small, the work is dynamic, and everyone here deals directly with the problems and the people involved. We are growing, and we would like to hear from people who would be a good fit.

Open roles

Business Development Manager, Europe

Own business development for bard0 in Europe: identify companies building FPGA and embedded products, open conversations with their engineering and product leaders, and manage relationships from first contact through to a signed engagement. You will work directly with our engineering team to shape proposals that match real capability.

Full description

This is the first dedicated commercial role for the European market. You will be building the pipeline rather than inheriting one, with direct access to the engineers who deliver the work.

What you will do

  • Identify companies across Europe building FPGA and embedded products, and work out which of them have problems we can actually solve.
  • Open conversations with engineering managers, hardware leads, and product owners, and keep those relationships warm over long buying cycles.
  • Qualify opportunities honestly against what the team can deliver, and say no to work that does not fit.
  • Work with the engineering team to turn a technical conversation into a scoped proposal, including timelines and commercial terms.
  • Manage the pipeline from first contact through to a signed engagement, and stay involved afterwards so repeat work follows.
  • Represent bard0 at European trade shows and industry events, and build a presence in the places our clients already are.
  • Feed what you learn in the market back into how we describe and price the service.

What we are looking for

  • Experience selling technical services or hardware products business to business, ideally in semiconductors, electronics, or embedded systems.
  • Enough technical literacy to hold a credible conversation with an FPGA engineer. You do not need to be an engineer, but you do need to understand what is being discussed and ask useful questions.
  • Comfort with long sales cycles that involve several stakeholders and a technical evaluation before anything is signed.
  • An existing network among European electronics and embedded product companies is a strong advantage.
  • The judgement to work without close supervision, since this is a remote role in a small team.
  • Fluent English. Other European languages are useful given the territory.

Practical details

  • Remote, based anywhere in Europe.
  • Some travel within the region for client meetings and industry events.
