FPGA Design Services & Embedded Systems Consulting
From RTL to running product: FPGA design and verification, embedded software, edge AI, image pipelines, and hardware bring-up. Our engineers work across every major FPGA vendor.
FPGA Design & Verification
RTL development in Verilog, SystemVerilog, and VHDL for every major vendor: AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice, Microchip, and Efinix. We take designs from architecture to timing-closed bitstream, and we take over existing designs that are stuck in verification or failing timing.
- High-speed interfaces: PCIe, DDR memory, 10G Ethernet, and custom SerDes protocols
- Memory controllers and interconnect, including our work on HyperRAM integration
- Simulation-driven verification, coverage, and regression flows
- Timing closure, floorplanning, and vendor tool migrations
Embedded Systems
Embedded Linux, Zephyr RTOS, ROS2, and FPGA SoC work: bare-metal firmware, RTOS integration, custom kernel drivers, and board support. Most of it sits on the boundary between hardware and software.
- Embedded Linux platform work on FPGA SoCs (Zynq, Agilex, PolarFire SoC)
- Device drivers for custom fabric peripherals and sensor buses: I2C/I3C, SPI, MIPI
- Zephyr and FreeRTOS ports, bare-metal firmware, and bootloaders
- System debug across the hardware/software boundary
AI & Edge Inference
We deploy AI vision models (YOLO-class detection and segmentation), plus LLMs and custom networks, directly into FPGA fabric for deterministic, low-latency inference where a GPU is too slow, runs too hot, or sits too far from the sensor. Quantization, compilation, and hand-optimized RTL across Vitis AI, FINN, and hls4ml.
This service has its own page covering the model-to-fabric flow, feasibility studies, and FAQ.
Image & Video
We work on image sensor integration, custom ISP development, and ultra-low-latency video pipelines for broadcast, professional AV, medical, and machine vision, from the sensor's serial interface to SDI or HDMI on the wire.
- Sensor interfaces: MIPI CSI-2, SLVS, SLVS-EC, HiSPi
- Broadcast and AV interfaces: SDI (SD to 12G), HDMI (1.4 to 2.1), DisplayPort, with genlock, embedded audio, and ancillary data
- Machine vision interfaces: Camera Link, GigE Vision, CoaXPress
- Sensor modes and readout: see binning, skipping, and ROI
- Custom ISP blocks: demosaic, correction, tone mapping, scaling. See our FPGA ISP core
- Compression in fabric, including our own MJPEG encoder and vision IP cores
Hardware Design
From idea to deployed product. We design custom PCBs and have the lab equipment to get them running: schematic capture, board layout, signal-level debug, and production support. We stay involved through bring-up rather than handing over RTL at the end.
- Custom PCB design: schematic capture and board layout
- Schematic and high-speed digital design review: memory, SerDes, sensor interfaces
- Board bring-up and hardware/firmware co-debug in our lab
- Prototype validation and pre-production hardening
AI-Assisted Design
We use LLMs and agentic AI to shorten development schedules: rapid RTL prototyping, testbench generation, automated firmware debugging, and code review. Anything the tools produce goes through the same review and verification as hand-written work. We use these workflows on our own projects daily.
- Agentic AI workflows wired into real FPGA toolchains, including MCP-based tooling (see our practical guide to Vivado's AI chatbot)
- AI-accelerated RTL, testbench, and firmware development
- Flow setup for your team: prompts, guardrails, and verification gates
Local AI Setup
The same agentic workflows, running entirely inside your network: on-premise LLM serving of open-weight models (GLM 5.2, DeepSeek, Qwen, Llama), private endpoints for agentic coding tools, and retrieval over your internal documentation, so RTL, schematics, and design data never leave the building. Scoped from a single workstation to a shared inference server, including fully air-gapped environments. Details, hardware guidance, and FAQ live on the dedicated page.
FPGA Training & Enablement
Hands-on training for engineering teams in agentic, AI-assisted FPGA design, verification methodologies, and high-performance system architecture, delivered online, corporate, or onsite. We also offer local AI setup as a separate service: on-premise LLM serving and private agentic tooling, so your RTL and design data never leave your network. The full curriculum, delivery formats, and FAQ live on the dedicated training page.
